No problem! Our team is happy to help before you book and while you are on tour. Not sure which day trip fits your schedule, whether a bike tour suits your kids, or how to combine two tours in one Bangkok stay? Send us a message on WhatsApp or email and we will point you in the right direction.
On every tour page you will find the booking form on the right (or at the bottom on mobile). Pick an available date, select the number of adults and children, and click Book now. On the next page you enter your personal details and, where the tour offers it, choose between hotel pickup and checking in at the meeting point yourself. After booking we send your voucher by email.
Most of our Bangkok city tours do not, and that is on purpose. Bangkok traffic is heavy enough that a hotel-by-hotel pickup round could easily add an hour or more to everyone's day, so city tours start from a central meeting point instead, which you can usually reach faster yourself by BTS Skytrain, MRT or a short Grab or taxi ride. Our full-day trips out of the city, to Ayutthaya, the floating markets and the River Kwai, are different: those do offer hotel pickup in central Bangkok, or a central meeting point if you prefer to make your own way. Each tour page states exactly what applies.
Payments are in Thai Baht. For your convenience you can switch the display currency on our website to your own, but the actual charge, online or in cash on the day, is always in Baht. If you would like to pay the balance by card where that option exists, let us know; the operator may apply a small card fee.
Online bookings close shortly before the start time, but next-day bookings are possible for most tours, and the day trips to Ayutthaya, the markets and the River Kwai are often bookable until the evening before. For same-day requests, contact us and we will check live availability with the operator and do our best to make it happen.
Please don't. Our operators accept the mobile voucher, so simply show it on your phone at the meeting point or to your driver. It saves paper and one less thing to forget at the hotel.
Kohtour Bangkok is part of the Kohtour family, a local team that has been organising tours in Thailand since 2013, with sister sites for Koh Samui, Krabi, Koh Lanta and Phuket. We work only with licensed operators we know personally, and our Google reviews across the Kohtour sites speak for themselves.
No. Online payments are handled by an external trusted payment processor; your card details never reach or get stored on our servers.
Yes. The website runs on current security standards and SSL, and payments are processed by trusted external payment providers, the same way as in any reputable webshop.
On most tours infants (usually up to 2 years old, it varies per tour) join free because they sit on a parent's lap in the van or boat, so no separate seat is reserved for them. Note that some active tours, such as the longer bicycle tours, have minimum ages instead; the tour page lists what applies.
Many are, and Bangkok by boat, tuk-tuk or train is genuinely fun for kids. Every tour page lists a "not suitable for" section and any minimum age. As a rule of thumb: the canal boats, markets and day trips work well for all ages, while the longer bicycle tours and the full-day trips with lots of walking suit older children best. Unsure? Ask us and we will advise honestly.
Your voucher includes the meeting point with a map pin, and it is also shown on the tour page. Meeting points are central and easy to reach, typically by BTS Skytrain, MRT, the Chao Phraya express boat or a short Grab ride. Bangkok traffic is unpredictable, so please allow extra travel time and aim to arrive about 15 minutes before the start.
For the day trips that include hotel pickup, we confirm your pickup time after the operator confirms the booking, usually the day before the tour. Please be ready in your hotel lobby at the confirmed time; the driver has more guests to collect, and allow a margin of up to 30 minutes for Bangkok traffic.
It happens in Bangkok; a traffic jam or an earlier pickup running long is usually the cause. The drivers keep us informed, so if your pickup is more than 30 minutes late, contact us and we will find out right away where your driver is and make sure you get to your tour.
It depends on the tour, and it is half the fun in Bangkok: longtail boats on the canals, bicycles through the old town, tuk-tuks, the Chao Phraya express boat, a local train, or simply on foot through the markets. Day trips out of the city travel by air-conditioned van or minibus. Every tour page states the modes of transport, so you know exactly what to expect.
Rain rarely stops a Bangkok tour; most run year-round and showers usually pass within an hour, with ponchos provided on the bike and boat tours where needed. The operator decides on the day whether it is safe to go out. If a tour does have to be cancelled, for example a canal trip during a heavy storm, we move your booking to another date, help you pick a different tour, or refund what you paid.
Tell us immediately, please. If anything is not right on the day, contact us while you are still on tour so we can act straight away rather than hear about it afterwards. We aim for a high customer satisfaction rate and will do our utmost to solve any issue you have.
