Daytime Bangkok is temples and traffic. Night-time Bangkok is when the city relaxes: the street kitchens fire up, the flower market hits full swing and the river turns into a string of lights. Three kinds of tour run after dark, and they are three very different evenings.
The Michelin Guide street food tour by tuk-tuk, from ฿1,495, does the ordering for you: a local guide, a private tuk-tuk between stops, and stalls picked from the Michelin Guide's Bangkok list, with the tastings included in the price. Yaowarat at night is the best food street in Thailand, and doing it by tuk-tuk means you arrive at each stall hungry instead of exhausted. Our Chinatown guide covers the neighbourhood itself.
The night bicycle tour, from ฿1,550, is the surprise favourite among our guests. After dark the old town's lanes empty out, so you cycle through Chinatown lit up, past the flower market at its busiest hour, and across the river for the skyline from Thonburi, finishing with a street food dinner. If you would not dare cycle Bangkok at noon, this is the version that works.
The gentlest option: two hours on the Chao Phraya with a buffet and live music while Wat Arun and the Grand Palace glow past the rail. Five boats sail nightly, from the ฿895 Smile Riverside to the ฿1,395 Opulence; our dinner cruise comparison walks through all five.
All three kinds of evening cancel free up to 24 hours ahead, and none of them requires an early alarm the next day, which in Bangkok counts for something. Prices checked August 2026.
